Penelope Pink: Dream Room

Hi lovelies this is my first blog post and it's all about the 'Dream Bedroom'. I'm going to write some great room design ideas including wallpaper colours, duvet covers and ornaments to make your room pretty and pastel. If you read all the blog somewhere in it I will be explaining how to win a shoutout from my 3k Instagram so read carefully!

Paint colours:

If you want to decorate your room the first thing I personally do is paint it. By doing this you transform your room and it most probably will look different. If you are thinking of painting your room a good modern colour is bright light pale blue (pastel blue) and also a lovely colour is a light pink, ('Sweet pink'). Any bright pastel colour looks really good for your room. Even plain white looks really pretty and it's probably my favourite as its refreshing in the morning. You can buy paint in loads of shops such as Wilkinsons, Homebase, B&Q, range and next which have some lovely colours and also next.

Wallpaper:

There are so many cute floral wall papers! But remember sometimes simple is better because you don't want your room to look cluttered. So go for a simple wallpaper (floral) and if you want to put wall paint on your other walls make sure they go. I recommend Cathkidson wallpapers they are perfect as you can see in the picture bellow and even the range has some cute wallpaper (but please check the reviews of the range as I have never tried them). Another great shop you can get wallpaper is homebase they have some lovely designs so do B&Q. I also love next's wallpaper they are very pretty and also tell you what paint goes with the wallpaper.

Duvet Cover:

My favourite duvet cover is Ikea's 'Emelina knopp' duvet it's so cute and it's the typical Instagram duvet cover background that never gets old. You can buy this duvet in a single size-£10 double-£15 king size-£20. If you do have a floral wallpaper then go for a duvet which is manly plain (preferably white) with a little pattern at the bottom to stop the floralness clashing.

Cushions:

An extra way to glam your bed up are cute little cushions. You can buy floral ones from Homebase £3-£10 they are really pretty, the range £3-£10, Argos £3-£15 and there are some beautiful ones on amazon if you search 'Floral Cushions'.

Ornaments:

My first pic is the 'Wilko Wooden Word Love'. It's £4 and it's the best 'LOVE' ornament price and quality compared to the other shops I've seen them in.

My next pic is 'Drömlik' candle. They are really cute candles you can get from ikea and are £3.25 a pack of 3.

I also love bunting in rooms and I've found some really cute ones on amazon for £6.99 for 3 metres. (As you can see bellow)

My last thing I recommend you buying is an ikea 'Skurar' they are cute pots you am put plants in, make up brushes, nail polish and general make-up or everyday bits and bobs. They range from £2-£5.
